Türkmenistan, 12 Ağustos 2019 tarihinde Avaza Milli Turizm Bölgesinde düzenlenecek olan Birinci Hazar Ekonomi Forumu hazırlıklarına başladı. İlk kez bu kadar geniş kapsamda düzenlenmesi öngörülen forumun Hazar Denizi günü ile aynı tarihe denk
gelmesi tarihi bir önem kazanıyor. Birinci Hazar Ekonomi Forumunun tüm hazırlıkları ve bu çerçevede düzenlenecek etkinliklerin hayata geçirilmesi Türkmenistan Devlet Başkanı Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov tarafından kararlaştırılan forumun düzenlenmesine ilişkin
Konsepte uygun olarak sürdürülüyor. İlk kez Hazar havzası gibi dünyanın önemli bölgelerinde düzenlenmesi planlanan forum önerisi, Rusya Federasyonu Astrahan kentinde, 30 Eylül 2014’te düzenlenen Hazar kıyı ülkelerinin Devlet ve Hükümet Başkanlarının IV. Zirvesinde
Türkmenistan Devlet Başkanı tarafından teklif edilmişti. Bu girişim Türkmenistan’ın, Hazar’ın bölge ve bölgelerarası jeopolitik ve jeoekonominin stratejik önemine esasla belirlenen hedeflerinin, bölgenin önemli ulaşım-transit ve taşımacılık merkezi olma potansiyeli için gerekli olan, Hazar kıyı ülkelerin çaba ve desteklerinin birleştirilmesini şart koşuyor. Nitekim Türkmenistan, Hazar bölgesi ülkeleri ile verimli işbirliğini
geliştirmek temelinde oluşturulan ve bu doğrultuda etkin araçlarla yürütülen Dış Politika anlayışını benimsiyor..

Turkmenistan has started the detailed preparation to the First Caspian Economic Forum to be held on the 12th of August 2019 in the National
Tourist Zone “Avaza.” It is favorably symbolical that the date of this first in the history large Caspian forum coincides with the Day of the Caspian Sea. All preparations for the First Caspian Economic Forum and implementation of activities that will take place within this scope are carried out in accordance with the Concept of holding the Forum affirmed by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The first in the history forum of this type in the framework of the largest region in the world, which the Caspian basin happens to be, was initiated by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the IV Summit of the Heads of the Caspian states that was held in Astrakhan, the Russian Federation on the 30th September 2014. This initiative is based on the notion that Turkmenistan sees strategical significance of the
Caspian Sea in regional and interregional geopolitical and geo-economic processes, including its role as an important transit-transport and logistical tie which promotes the necessity to further unite the efforts on the Caspian states. The development of constructive cooperation with
the Caspian region states has been and remains to be the principle position and in this regard is among the priority vectors of foreign policy course of Turkmenistan.
